♥ I think I haven't posted in almost two months. It's all hogwartsishome's fault. They kidnapped me! They did it nicely, but still. I was all I'M NOT GOING TO BE SUCKED IN and then got sucked in anyway because I have no self-control. But it's fuuun~ and btw, hello new awesome friends from the Hogsmeade friending meme! :D :D
Also, hi to the people from the summerpornathon! I got in Team Lust, which is the team with the MOST AWESOME PEOPLE EVER including some of my favourite M/A authors ever, this is going to be fun. I even get to google sex toys and call it research.

♥ Speaking of writing. I joined bigbangitalia, mostly because I want to get one of my long plots out of the way. It's just 10k words over the summer, so yeah. I already know I'm going to write in English and then translate it because I can't write in Italian. I just get stuck on the dialogue because I'm used to watching/reading things in English instead of the dub, I wrote some SPN/DW over the weekend and I was all BUT HOW DOES DEAN SAY "DUDE" IN ITALIAN? WHICH FUNNY WORDS CAN THE DOCTOR SAY IN ITALIAN?

♥ Yes, I needed to tell you that because 1) it's epic, 2) my brother contributed and 3) I hadn't written it down yet and I was in danger of forgetting. I'm also working on a fanmix for Charles and Erik, so I can get sad while listening to nice music too. I might need help in deciding what to write first. Or second, right after I finish this fic I've been working on since February. Numero Uno is the epic Dean/Cas post-S6 fix-it, or How Ren Wants S7 To Go. Like a proper Deus Ex Machina, God shows up to strip Cas of his pants his angelic powers after the events of S6's finale, so human!Cas is forced to roadtrip with Dean and Sam. Dean teaches him important human skills such as not getting his ass kicked by the monster of the week, showering, cheating at poker and blowjobs. Numero Due is a SPN high school AU. Don't judge me, though if you stuck with me through the rambles about Charles and Erik and kitties you probably won't. This can basically be summed up with Dean and Cas are high school students and they meet and they have sex. And I wrote a one-shot about them meeting here already, though obv it would need to be rewritten if I go with this story for the BB. Numero Tre is Harry/Draco, because idk. Apparently I've been cursed with plots for a pairing that I used to despise. Must be karma. It's just the typical post-book-7 EWE in which Harry and Ginny split up and Harry finds out that Malfoy isn't so evil after all and in the end they get together. So, f-list, if you stuck with Harry me until the very end, tell me what should I write. Numero Uno, Due, Tre or... idk, let's call it X?

Not the very same plot I'd have written, but it's not as if I'd have ever gotten around to writing it. And they did. And it was epic.

Fucking Real Life

Okay, I'm stressed over this fucking exam. So. Fucking. Much.
There just isn't enough time. And I've tried but I can't concentrate, and I know why. I'm just sick and tired of studying and I don't care about physics and I just want out. London needs to happen. Or something. I need to go somewhere, have a change of pace some time soon, or I'll lose my mind.

The fucking huge fandom

The only thing keeping me sane lately has been tea and Glee. Seriously. (It kind of rhymes but that wasn't the point.) There are no words to describe just how much I love that show and its cliché-riddled cast. I can just turn off my brain and hum along when I know the songs. And I kind of watched 5 episodes today with my sister because I knew stuff would happen on 1x12, and then 1x13 was Sectionals and we just needed to finish, and we were supposed to watch two episodes on Merlin tonight but after the failboat that was 3x09 (though I liked the punch-to-the-arm scene) I didn't really want to watch 3x10 so switching back to Glee seemed like a good alternative and then 1x15 was the Madonna episode... So yeah.

We're officially marathoning it. Late to the party and everything, but I don't really care. I just think I'll stay clear of the fandom because I don't really care for unnecessary drama and I miiight just have some unpopular opinions about characters/ships. (I also want to adopt Brittany, but that's beside the point.)
And I have a new favourite song. Lately I change favourite songs a bit too often. I have the attention span of a deranged rabbit. Unless it's time to watch another episode of Glee. Honestly I think this show might just have brainwashed me into some kind of mindless minion but I don't really care.

The small fandom that makes me happy

I've signed up for yuletide and I've got a feeling nobody else is offering or requesting Locke Lamora. Which makes me sad, because, seriously. The author is cool too, personal problems aside, he's got a livejournal and pulled his main character's name from a Final Fantasy game and said he was okay with fanfiction as long as he didn't have to read any of it. And he's got the full prologue from his first book online here, I don't remember if it's the part about little Locke or the start of their highly entertaining con, but either way it's a good read.

There are conmen and witty remarks and badassness and female pirate captains. There's also much use of the word "fuck" and similar, but if you read my entries I suppose it doesn't bother you too much. Oh, and he tends to create characters and make you love them and then kill them off brutally. But apart from this, the books are cool. So, uhm. Read them? Please?

Since nobody replied to the meme (sadface) I amused myself by compiling this non-exhaustive list or tropes that apply to me. In 3rd person.

Incidentally, it looks like the next show in my watch list will be The Big Bang Theory, on account of lots of people in my class at uni liking it. Geek show, joy! (Nevermind that I'm one myself.)
And I've watched almost all of this season's new anime, apart from maybe Togainu no Chi, but only because my brother is still debating whether to watch it or not. I bet he won't, or if he does he'll drop it at once. Nothing special so far.

Okay, now that my ehpeek literary endeavour is done, I can return to the usual memeage. I think I'll do two of these every day from now on, since they're long overdue and I'm getting bored. WTF short attention spam.
But before that let me tell you about this season's anime, or at least those I watched so far. Kind of spoilery, but it's just the first episode of each series anyway. But first some random linkage.



There's more behind-the-scenes videos from HBO and I think it's the first time I've been so interested in an elevator.

Plus Colin and Bradley are being ridiculously adorable, again. My favourite part is Colin saying "dragonfruit" and Bradley snorting with laughter. So much love.

And the 2 minutes trailer for the SPN anime. Engrish Carry On, some interesting action scenes, Dean looks like Tristan from Yu-Gi-Oh but I'll try to overlook that for the sake of more monster hunting.

Day 21 - A pairing you like and no one else understands why?

Ciel/Finny from Kuroshitsuji. Originally created because I was growing tired of Sebastian/Ciel, especially with creepy!pedo!stalking!abusive!Sebby, but the more I think about it the more I wish someone had written it. They seem like they'd be adorable together. Finny is fiercely attached to Ciel, I could totally see him going all protective if his master was in danger. Sebastian would have nothing on an enraged Finny.
The sad thing is, the Kuroshitsuji fandom is in a sad, sad state. Here's some stats from The Pit. About 3,000 Kuroshitsuji fics (all ratings), 2,300 in English. Out of those, how many with Finny? 36. Thirty-six. And this is Finny, someone who's been around since chapter 1, fairly relevant to the plot, has been to a greater or lesser degree in every story arc. TA grand-total of two of these fics (both one-shots) are Finny/Ciel. I be sad. Okay, I'm at fault too because the only Kuro fic I wrote was Ciel/Sebby too, but I'm still complaining.


Day 22 - A pairing you hate and no one else understands why?

Roy/Ed from FMA. First thing, it gets in the way of my OTPs. Second thing I don't really see the chemistry there. They're probably the most popular pairings in the fandom but I'd rather stay clear of them. And then the age difference really turns me off, there's like 15 years between them and Ed is in his teens. I don't really want to think of Roy as a child molester, plus there's the unfortunate implications that come with abuse of power since Roy is Ed's superior in the military.
So, uh, no. Part of why I love FMA but won't get into the fandom, I don't like most of their favourite pairings. Likewise with Ed/Al, at least they're of an age but ick. They're one couple where I love them together, I love their interaction, but as friends. Yep, sometimes my slash goggles fail me.

I'm officially going to ignore the 30 days meme until I'm done with my Merlin/Arthur fic for merlin_muses. I passed 5,000 words yesterday, not counting whatever I have on notebooks and haven't typed yet) and this monster isn't anything close to done. At least I got an extension until the 8th, I hope it'll be enough. So much for "writing a ficlet or two in the summer". At least I have a beta and most of what I've written has already been checked so I won't have to do last-minute mad dashes or anything. Or so I hope.

By the way, I don't remember who asked me about my Sherlock fic for thegameison_sh: voting is done and I've posted it in my comm. I'm excited for this month's theme though of course there will be no writing anything but the monster for the next week.
I'm also in half a mind to start something like this for Merlin -- monthly ficlet writing challenge. audiopineapple brought it up yesterday at 1am and by 2am I was set on doing it. It sounds like something I might regret, but... Merlin! fanfic! squee! Thus since nobody else is doing it I might as well.

Though I forgot I was invited to a friend's friend's grad party Saturday night, which means sleeping out and possibly getting drunk. This is so not conductive to fanfic. Nor were the couple of visits to the doctor in the last few days. I swear, everything is conspiring against me. But I'm quite happy about this fic, even if I'll have to ask for another extension to get it done. I don't want to rush it since I'm actually writing a long story that I like, and it's not for the sake of wordpadding like during NaNo.

Okay, lunchtime and then time to get a couple more scenes down.



ETA; I lied and went to change my journal layout instead. After 8 months I think the change was overdue. Yay rainbow vomit! On my to-do list: make a header, find a background, fix italic/bold/underline/strikethrough text, remove icons next to lj usernames, fill empty space in top bar, fix tag cloud.

Urgh urgh urgh. That short ficlet, 2,000 words at most, that I was going to write for merlin_muses has turned into a monster. I ended up being forced to write a synopsis for it to keep track of all scenes. So I'm kind of forcing myself to write it because I can't do anything else fandom-related until I get this out of the way.

Regarding the other BBC-related fandom that I'm getting myself tangled into, holy cliffhanger Sherlock! At least I knew already that there would have been a cliffhanger, but still. I want a second season nao.
Also, fandom, it's unfunny to hate Sarah just because she gets in the way of your OTP.

Okaaay, so I did promise I was going to update every 3 days. But I'm also me, and this means procrastination and much going back on my word.

I did actually write part of a multi-fill for the PW Kink Meme. And then I went and watched anime and generally wasted time instead of writing something I could post here.

So it's been 6 days already... so, huh...
