WHERE IS A DOWNTON ABBEY ICON

renrenren3I feel cold. I'm this close to wrapping myself in my huge wolf blanket. Uni was frozen as always and I forgot my jacket, much to P's amusement. It's not my fault that I decided to watch Downton Abbey at 8am when I woke up because it had just finished downloading and then I spent all of my day in a state of emotional trauma.
Ok maybe it's my fault. A bit. Downton Abbey gives me all the ~feelings, idk when's the last time I cried over fictional characters. No, wait, it's when Jo died in SPN. So anyway, I was devastated over Mary Crawley's perfection, and why can't I be her, except her life kinda sucks, and Y U NO TELL MATTHEW THAT YOU LOVE HIM ALREADY. This week I was too busy sobbing over Mary/Matthew/Lavinia to even care about Anna and Bates, and I usually like Anna and Bates. I think in S1 Anna was my favourite character along with Sybil, but then Mary Crawley.
I cannot. Also, holy character development Batman. I even like Lavinia. I was almost sad when Matthew broke it off with her. At first I wanted her to die for my ship but she loves Matthew and Matthew loves her and they'd be happy together but wtf Matthew why are you sending her away. But I also like Mary. So I'm shipping two couples that can't happen at once and NEITHER OF THEM IS HAPPENING AT THE MOMENT. Also Branson needs to grow upa little a lot.
ALSO MAGGIE SMITH, ALL THE TIME.
To cheer myself up, I decided this week is Stupid Superhero Week and I'm going to watch alllllll the Marvel movies so maybe I'll finally find out why Tumblr is obsessed with Loki and Captain America.
I ALSO HAVE STUFF TO DO BUT DNW TO DO STUFF.

Date: 2011-10-17 06:35 pm (UTC)Yeah, I heard that Thor wasn't exactly an amazing movie, but Loki and Darcy were awesome in it, and Captain America is supposed to be pretty good.
Downton Abbey sounds like a fantastic show, and I would watch it too, but SPN and Merlin have stomped on my heart multiple times already and I don't take I have that many feelings left to give. And those ships sound like there's some crazy drama going around, but the characters must be pretty well-developed if you ship both sides of a love triangle.

Date: 2011-10-17 06:50 pm (UTC)I keep seeing Loki on my dash and everyone says he's the bestest thing ever so I want to check out for myself. TBH I prefer mediocre movies to good movies because they're more lulzy, but we'll see. :D
Downton Abbey is sooo good, everyone should watch it
and suffer with me. It's even got good writing and characterization and great female characters, unlike some other shows I might name. Lavinia was brought in just to stop Matthew and Mary from getting together, so in any other series she might have been just a generic dislikeable character, but in the end she was pretty well-rounded. Two sides? I MIGHT SHIP ALL THREE SIDES OF THAT TRIANGLE, CONSIDERING THAT LAST SCENE WITH MARY AND LAVINIA. Anyway, it's just a miniseries so there's only 12 episodes out between all two seasons, you might want to check it out anyway?/feelings
