renrenren3I didn't say anything about it earlier because I didn't want to jinx it, but my parents signed the deed to the house last week. I went to see it in the weekend and I'm half psyched at the idea of moving in and half dreading the actual part where I have to, you know, put all my stuff into boxes and move in. The house looks like a mess right now. The previous owner emptied it (almost) completely and there's dust and cobwebs and dirt everywhere. I looks like nobody has lived there for years, even though it's not true, it's barely been empty for a month. So my mum's already freaking out about the renovations and next weekend she asked me and my siblings to go and help her clean out the garden/courtyard.
Which, okay, it's not as if I have anything pressing to do at the moment aside from re-reading A Game of Thrones and all the other books before the next one comes out in a couple of weeks. Which, by the way, I finally ordered along with the 2012 calendar. It looks pretty, though I'm not a huge fan of the artist, but I've been collecting the calendars since 2009 and it's like having a dozen mini-prints. (Or it would be if I could bear to cut out the pages to frame them.)
DW withdrawal is getting to me. I started watching Season 1. By which I mean Season 1... with the First Doctor... which started in 1963. Yeah, I don't even. It's so weird and trippy. More so than usual, I mean. The First Doctor is a jerk, he kidnapped his first companions and incited a tribe of cavemen to stone another caveman. There's an armchair in the TARDIS and a machine that dispenses futuristic food. And don't get me started on the companions, Rose would eat them up for breakfast. But I can't stop watching. The Daleks just showed up and the Doctor had never seen the Daleks before. It's like watching history being made!
