Aug. 27th, 2010 11:15 pmShockingly enough, I'm writing this from my room. Sitting at my desk. Where I finally have a working internet connection. I don't know why, but for the past 10 years my room had been the only room in the house without wireless access. (Well, okay, I never tested the bathrooms. Kitchen, living room and all the other bedrooms were fine though.)
Today my mum decided that since she's getting the rooms repainted next week we'd have to do a HUGE cleaning - this involved sweating a lot and carrying around heavy boxes that tended to fall on my toes. Also, lots of dust. At least I finally managed to throw away a lot of junk, get rid of some rather awful presents from my granny and seal away the children books in the basement.
In the meantime I was asked if I wanted to switch rooms with my brother, who's been sharing a room with my sister since forever. It probably sounds like a strange arrangement but after 10 years I'm used to it. So I said, "Whatever, it doesn't really matter... WAIT THEY HAVE INTERNET IN THEIR ROOM I WANNA SWITCH!"
So dad said, "But I can fix the internet!" and tinkered with it and cursed and said it didn't work and set it all back like it was before. Only now I have internet in my room. At my desk. Like a normal person!
In the end I'm staying in my room. I said "whatever", my sister said "whatever", and my brother said "whatever", but my mum said that my brother actually meant "no" so we're not switching. My mum... is weird. And has problems understanding humans.
