Stuff + Merlin
The first week of classes was insane, but I think the insanity is winding down. I managed to narrow the list of courses down to four this semester and four the next, which is reasonable and should give me all the credits I need. The only thing I don't like is this course about didactic methods, which I took just because I don't like the professor who teaches probability. But I'm really not interested in learning didactic methods and like one third of the course is working with a group and it's more like psychology than mathematics and I'm herping and derping my way through it. But I did manage to get in a group the only cute guy in the class, so whatevs. If anything, I can creep on him.
I still have a couple of cardboard boxes lying around. I still haven't renewed my bus card. I didn't re-read my notes all weekend. I AM LAZY AND PROCRASTINATING.
Merlin, tho. The last ep gave me all the feelings. Merlin and Arthur fighting over who gets to sacrifice himself for Camelot was predictable, but all the same. HE'S THE ONE HE CARES MOST ABOUT, IN THE WHOLE WORLD. EVERY OTHER ARGUMENT IS FOREVER INVALID. Also the slash dragon was basically saying I ALWAYS SUSPECTED YOU WERE GAY FOR EACH OTHER BUT NOW IT'S SO OBVIOUS, YOU'RE NOT EVEN TRYING TO BE SUBTLE ANY MORE. And all the knights. And Gwaine being an adorable idiot. And the return of the giant baby rats. And idk how it is possible that now the Isle of the Blessed is several days away from Camelot while I thought last time Merlin got there in a few hours. MAGIC.
Lancelot, though. That really took me by surprise because I didn't think anyone would ever die in Merlin. I was just thinking that on any other show I'd be freaking out all the time about Arthur and Merlin, and then wham. I'm still sure Lancelot will come back at some point. They can't get rid of him just now that I started to like him. Also, Gwen annoys me to no end. I mean. WTF GIRL. Arthur was unconscious and there was Merlin, you know, only the most powerful warlock ever, nbd, I'M SURE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO THINK OF SOMETHING. Instead Lancelot just jumped, which is 1) stupid, 2) heroic and 3) not because Gwen told him to protect Arthur, because if all he cared about was to keep his oath, there were so many things he could have tried to do, HE DIDN'T NEED TO FUCKING JUMP, HE DID IT TO PROTECT HIS FRIENDS AND THE KINGDOM AND I HATE THAT GWEN IS CHEAPENING HIS SACRIFICE SO MUCH. No surprise that Arthur was so ~awkward around her and probably afterwards went to find Merlin because can you imagine going on a roadtrip for a week or so with your boyfriend and there's all your other friends who never give you a moment of privacy. There was some serious eyefucking going on while everyone else was asleep. And Arthur's face when he saw Merlin was still alive. And that awkward moment when they still don't hug but there's Arthur who starts with his hand on the back of Merlin's neck and then he ends up with his arm around Merlin's shoulders anyway AND THIS IS CLOSE TO HUGGING, I'LL TAKE IT, MY SHIPPER HEART IS CLOSE TO BREAKING.
Oh, and I hate how Morgana is becoming a generic card-carrying villain in this season.
People on tumblr seem convinced that SPN killed off Castiel. Silly people. Don't they know he's frolicking with Dean in the land of unicorns and rainbows and pie.
