Yeeees, I agree with everything you said. I find a lot of things interesting and fascinating but something in me just refuses to even consider things the second that somebody tells me I have to read them or like them or analyse them. I don't work well in that environment and I like it even less when you know you're going to be graded on your interpretations. Sure, some interpretations are completely cray, but if that's the way I see it, it should be fine, you know? Instead you're graded on it, and yeah they mostly grade your argumentation but idk, it's still them saying "no you're wrong", if you fuck up your arguments.
