Day 16 & Day 17 & one more

Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you've read that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. Do yours before you read anyone else's...

1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
2. A Game of Thrones
3. Artemis Fowl
4. Witches Abroad
5. The Three Musketeers
6. The Lies of Locke Lamora
7. Red Seas Under Red Skies
8. Monstrous Regiment
9. Temeraire
10. A Study in Scarlet
11. Death on the Nile
12. Murder on the Orient Express
13. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
14. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
15. Ascolta il tuo cuore

Five minutes... that wasn't too bad. I needed to restrain myself from adding all of the Pratchett books, but considering how many times I read the first Harry Potter books I just had to include at least those.
10 out of 15 are fantasy. Yay. I forgot LoTR, though.
3 out of 15 are detective novels, which I'm a shameless fan of.
The classics are a bit under-represented, but I like Dumas. At least he's not anvilicious.
Last one is a book by an Italian author I loved while I was about 12, I kept re-reading her books ♥ I don't know if there's an English translation.

Day 16 - What is the absolute worst pairing?

I don't really like answering this. I have pairings I don't like, and I'm tempted to go 'WTF what's wrong with you?' every time I come across a shipper, but that's my personal opinion. There's those I've already mentioned, like Arthur/Gwen, or others I can't stand because they get in the way of my OTP like Ed/Al or Ed/Roy, and the absolutely crack ones that make no sense whatsoever like Percy/Draco.

But on the whole I think the only thing I can't stand is romantic parent/child incest. Because, urgh, I don't give a crap about everything else but there's some lines you can't cross!
It's the main reason I stay the hell away from every fic with John Winchester and his sons, because seriously. DNW.

Day 17 - A pairing you thought would never work out, but did?

Takumi/Nana from Nana. Because Takumi is a jerkass to start with, he used the fact that Nana was a fan to sleep with her, when he found out that she was pregnant he refused to break up with her, and even after they got married he cheated on her with a bandmate. And despite everything he'd done Nana managed not to stab him with a kitchen knife, he realized (better late than never) that he really cared for her, she forgave him, he got over his jerkassery and they had a second kid and lived relatively happily ever after. Or at least they would if Ai Yazawa got better and finished the story.
